Adding Dogecoin Token To Metamask

Everyone is talking about doge. Surprisingly, there is no instruction on how to add the famous doge to the widely used Metamask wallet. So here is very briefly how to.

First of all, MetaMask will have Ethereum Mainnet selected after setup. You have to change this to the Binance smart chain to add your doge to Metamask.

In the chrome extension click on the downward arrow next to Ethereum Mainnet. Go down and click on Custom RPC. You also may want to open Binance instructions on Connecting MetaMask to Binance Smart Chain in a separate browser window and scroll down until you get to Mainnet (This is the one you are probably looking for). This indeed is what you are looking for!

Copy the information from Binance academy and hit save. And next select the Smart Chain network.

Next, head over to https://coinmarketcap.com/ and search for Dogecoin. On the dogecoin page on Coinmarketcap click on the fox to add the coin to Metamask by clicking Add Token in the notification window.
